Indoor Antenna FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Indoor Antennas

When you think of antennas, your mind likely jumps to a large, traditional outdoor antenna, like one you might see mounted to the top of a building, or on the roof of a police cruiser. But especially in today’s world of mobile technology, antennas are all around us, even when we’re indoors. Today, indoor antennas are common for helping us with WIFI, LTE, and BlueTooth applications, and they’re vital for any place that needs great coverage, from anything to radio to television to internet. Check out our Indoor Antenna FAQ below.

At PulseLarsen Antennas, we offer a diverse range of indoor antenna solutions, designed for a variety of needs, applications, and price points. Below, we’ve collected some of the most frequently asked questions we get about our indoor antenna products and indoor antennas in general.

How should I select my indoor antenna?

There is a wide range of indoor antennas available – but only a few of those selections may be right for your needs. When looking for an antenna, it may be helpful to ask the following questions:

  • What is the antenna for, and what capabilities does it need?
  • What kind of coverage do I need?
  • Does the antenna’s size or profile matter?
  • What is my budget?

Does PulseLarsen offer discrete or cosmetically pleasing antennas?

In addition to clear antenna models, we have have several low-profile and flat choices. The public safety PSIBVHF and PSIBVU78 options are the flattest in the world, while the  DASUTWC is almost flush with its mount and white in color.

What are the optimal stick or blade antennas?

Many people are looking for stick (long and thin) and blade (straight, 90 degrees bendable, wideband) antennas for indoor solutions. Our clear ICEBLADELS antenna is often a good option for a blade antenna, while our SPDA242400 and the W1027 stick antennas are also popular choices

What is the most robust MIMO LTE antenna for indoor use?

The  WA700 is a multiband LTE MIMO antenna. Ideal for situations when clear communication is critical, this flat, RoHS-compliant selection can be easily mounted onto glass or windows with suction cups.

What are the best choices for public safety antennas?

At just 0.33 inches (8.4 mm) thick, the PSIBVHF and PSIBVU78 models are so flat that they are minimally intrusive while still remaining reliable and high-performing.
